TaxCalc collects no personal data, requires no account, and stores nothing about you anywhere. The privacy model is architectural, not promissory: the calculators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, your inputs are never transmitted to any server, and there is no database on the receiving end to hold them even by accident.
What this means concretely. The salary, withholding, gains or property figures you type into any calculator exist only in the memory of your browser tab. Nothing is written to our side — we could not read your inputs if we wanted to, because they never leave your device. Refreshing or closing the page erases them. The site sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics scripts, embeds no social pixels, and does not participate in cross-site tracking of any kind. There is no newsletter, no login, and no save-your-scenario feature that would give us a reason to hold data.
Standard, limited exceptions apply to any website. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) serves the static files and, like any CDN, processes request metadata such as IP address and user agent in the course of delivery and security filtering — under Cloudflare’s own privacy terms, not under any control of ours. If you email us, we receive your message and reply to your address; correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the question. This site is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them — there is no data to collect.
Because nothing is uploaded, there is nothing to sell, breach, subpoena or export. If we ever change this model — add analytics, add accounts, add uploads — this page changes first and the date at the bottom updates. The version you are reading describes a site where the safest data is the data that never exists.
